Post equipement

Hi,

I'm new here, and I'm plaaning to buy a boxster, but i would like to have mnay options (like cruise control, PCM, heated seats, ...)
I would like to know If Porsche sells kits for these, like BMW do (I curently own a BMW). At BMW you can buy for example a heated seat kit, wich include all the cables, connection, buttons and ohter hardware to install the heated seats, now I would like to know if i could by this also at Prorsche or if I should look for a boxster wich the options I want.

thx

Really, try your best to get heated seats and the other options you mention with the car. Most of the factory options are difficult and expensive to retrofit.

It should have been the law to order all Boxsters with heated seats! Very important option, and so cheap to do during the build.

I second the above. Get as much in your car now because there is very little that you can modify later that will be cost effective. Sure it can be done but at a substantial premium cost. I always had heated seat but rarely used them so I did not get them in the car but little did I realize that I now like opening the top when it is cold and the heated seats would come in real handy.
Recaro seats with heated elements cost upwards of 1000 ea to purchase and install. The option I think is 750 while ordering. That is just one example.

in 02, option P14 was $415 Heated Seats about $5 more now.

About the only options that are easy to retofit are:
Headlights/tail lights/side lights, Rear speakers (fill-in sound mostly), wheels & suspension, center console delete, after market short shifter, muffler.

Lots of Boxster came fairly well optioned, and options are cheaper second hand, so I agree - try to buy the options you really want.
