How long do your boxster tires last?

Hello all - I'm a fairly new Boxster owner - I bought an 05 model in July of 05. I now have approx. 18.5k miles and I'm still on my original tires.

I still have plenty of tread left on my front tires (I'm fairly certain) and my back tires are showing some wear but certainly not bald.

My question is - what is normal in terms of mileage for a pair of tires?

Thanks all!

p.s. I LOVE the car - wouldn't give it up for anything (well, ok maybe a 911 GT3). :D

At 18.5 (or about the time of the first service interval) the fronts on my 05 base were in good condition, the rears were in need of replacement but hadn't reached the danger point. At 22.5 when I sold the car, the fronts were still good, the backs had been replaced. This is under what I would call "spirited driving".

I'd be very surprised if you got much past 20K on the rears with MichPS2s.

It will depend alot on your driving style and conditions. Just keep an eye on the ware bars on the tires and make sure you keep them properly inflated.

My fronts (Continental ContiSportContacts) lasted about 20-22K miles and they need to be replaced soon, the rears (Yoko ES100s) lasted 15K, I recently replaced them although I think i could have gotten another 1000 or 2000 miles out of them.
