Formula One

This is the place to talk about everything Formula One.

Are you for real? I don't want to start a "When can we talk about your mom or your sister" response before I know you're for real.

Why such a response? This is an off-topic section so this kind of thread should be OK.

When every post of yours is about anything but your Boxster, we tend to lean towards nefarious intentions.

While I agree there hasn't been any Boxster-related posts from this user, I can't say there's been anything posted which can be considered "spam" so we'll let it roll for now.

Keep things civil. Thanks guys

Maybe not spam... but enough of the "absent context" bull**************** posts, it's a clear way to build post counts in an effort to establish credibility. Kind of like the credibility I've built being a sarcastic smart ass... on occasion. I may not have so much technical expertise, but at least my comments have context.

On another note... at least you (Matt) are a little quicker on the trigger responding to our posts drawing attention to prospective scammers.

While you're at it... how about a "like" buttton for posts. :p

I've heard through the grapevine that a forums update is in the works. Not sure if it will happen this year but it's in the pipeline. Perhaps if we're lucky we might get a feature like that

Considering that the version of vBulletin in use is over 10 years old, that would be nice.

It would also be immensely helpful to have a "Report to Moderator" button as well.....

It is the summer break in F1 and at this point we have Red Bull and Max Verstappen leading the constructors and drivers standings. Will anyone catch them after the summer break?

If Perez keeps *****ing the bed, and McLaren keep piling on points, it definitely is in the realm of possibility. Ferrari I see as a dark horse at the moment, based on performance and their recent history of bad strategy.

Max wins the Brazilian GP to stretch his lead to 62 points with only 3 races to go in the season. Surely, Lando is not going to catch him now.

Cadillac has appointed former Marussia Sporting Director Graeme Lowdon as its Team Principal ahead of its planned F1 entry in the 2026 season.

Newsguy 12-08-2024 05:50 AM

Is anyone aware of additional background on Mr. Lowdon?
It would seem to be prudent to aim a little higher. A stint with Marussia is not compelling or confidence-inspiring. I am not attacking the man, just concerned;
I would have tried for Andreas Seidl. Perhaps the approach was made and rebuffed.
Anyway, I hope this is a positive move.
