I've never seen anyone be so strong before, truly amazing!

@ Ike, congrats to you both and your wife, yeah, that’s pretty badass.

And if that kid’s anything like all the kids in our family, the keys are always their favorite toy, and they go straight in the mouth.

Piper and Lincoln, Thanks guys! He's lucky, he got his mamas good looks. Raising kids is definitely the hardest thing I've ever done, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Today I installed an h&s mini Maxx on my silverado 3500. I don't hate the environment, but GM got just about everything wrong on their first gen DEF system and everytime something breaks (5 times in 5 years, twice in the past 4 months) it throws the truck into limp mode. Anyway, best $ I've ever spent on the truck and it really does work.

Just finished replacing the tub boot on our lg front load washing machine. I'm glad to report that Porsche isn't the only company that can design something that seems so simple but is such a pain in the ass to fix.

Random update to this, in case anyone else has a Duramax... When i did the delete tune i never switched out any other components. The DEF tank is still in place and the exhaust, along with the DPF and EGR valve, is still in stock form. I had a feeling this would cause a problem but I wasn't sure how long it would be before it happened. (Despite a thousand boneheads on the Duramax forums, I couldn't find a single thread that answered that question) Well, now I know, not long at all - maybe that makes me the bonehead!

What was a beast of a motor at any rpm now barely has the oomph to make it up a hill. I think the DPF is clogged and causing high exhaust back pressure. I'm gonna check it out this weekend with the pressure guage. Options are too ream out the DPF or to buy a straight pipe setup, which surprisingly isn't too expensive. I'll post an update when I fix it.

DPF is off, power is back. That bad boy COMPLETELY clogged in under 5 hours run time without a Regen cycle - makes you wonder how much extra diesel were burning for regens to keep the emissions down. Burn more fuel to make the exhaust cleaner.... SCIENCE!

In other news, My boat has a 7.4 mercruiser (which is just a bbc 454) which has started burning a bit of oil noticeable on cold start and idles. I figure it's the valve stem seals (the boat is 25 years old and we run it like a porsche ;) ). Anyway, not wanting to end the season early, I figured I would try some bar's oil leak stopper. And...WOW! It worked, no oil burn at all on startup or the run out, had it wide open for a bit and no problems after that either. That's the first time Ive used the stuff but I would definitely say this snake oil is worth the $5.

20% - that's how much more fuel I was using before the def delete. Over the 110000 miles this truck has been on the road, it has used (and I have bought) over 1000 gallons more diesel for the Regen cycles than if the system werent in place to start.
