And you guys living in the 70"s don't know how lucky you had it. Atari ? What the He*l was that, we just played with guns. Phone calls with no call waiting or ID? We still had party lines. Only cartoons on Saturday? We didn't have TV until I was 6 and only got one channel showed wrestling which my 68 year old Grandmother got off on. On and on. But I did get to drive a 79 Gran Turino with a side oiler when it was new. Who needed drugs. ED

I heard this kid complaining about how his TV sucked because it was "only" 32" and not HD. My family TV was a giant piece of furniture with a relatively small black and white screen. Living in the boonies, we only got one channel (ABC) and a second channel (NBC) on a really clear day.
And I remember going down the road sitting on the tail gate of my friend's family station wagon with our feet dragging on the pavement. Thinking back that was pretty dangerous and stupid for three ten year olds to be doing but if anything happened it was our responsibility. There were no laws on it and no one got in trouble for it back then. No one wore seat belts either. If your car had shoulder belts, they remained clipped in place on the ceiling.
