Engine Misfire

My car was MOT'd in June and has been sat in the garage until last week when I needed to use it and to my horror it sounded as rough as old boots !

It's a 2003, 2.7 with 63,000 miles and its condition is 9.5 / 10

When taken out of the garage it sounded a bit rough (misfire) and a mile or so in the engine light came on so I returned home.

Today I have scanned the car and there are No Error Codes only a message about a misfire - These have been cleared and no messages come back but I still have the misfire.

Has anyone experienced anything similar and can point me in the right direction before I start ripping it apart - and no I have done nothing but scan it!
