Returned Member with Question

I've owned my 2000 Boxster for about 8 years and have mixed feelings. It has cost a ton in repairs to keep it running although I've added very few miles. Plus upgrading including rear camera and monitor with Apple Car Play. The headlight switch jammed the other day, and now doesn't turn smoothly, so I've asked how much to replace it. Mileage is 136k.

But it's worth only about $5,000 if you can find a buyer. An elderly widower, I have two other cars so I don't need this car. Should I cut my losses and get rid of it? I will check the forum's classifieds.

So you know I'm not exaggerating, repairs include new clutch, something with the air box, a new light switch for turn signals/high and low beam, repair leaking valve covers, new engine mount, new windshield, key fob from P dealer, new tires and battery, more I can't remember right now. I tried to have the intermediate shaft bearing replaced, but my tech said a bolt was so tight that something would break if he used more force. and he abandoned that fix.
