Howdy

Good evening good folks,

I'm Jon, 36, from the UK and I very recently purchased a 2000 986 Boxster S. It will primarily be a track car but I'll be balancing the roadgoing aspects as it's nice to have a soft top for warm days out, so it needs to retain that comfort.

I don't know a huge amount about Boxsters but I did buy Wayne Dempsey's book which has been very useful so far. I'm sure I'll be here asking for advice and knowledge to be shared, and any I learn I like to share too.

I work in engineering in the medical sector. Love motorsports and this year I've started really following endurance racing. I'm an Aston Villa fan, speak far from perfect Spanish, and won the UK gameshow "Pointless" with my wife about 8 years ago.

Edit to add: the car I purchased isn't the best looker but I compromised on that to get a more solid one mechanically.
