Hi, I've just joined your forum, this is my first post, I've recently brought a 2001 manual 3.2s boxster, not driven it yet, as it's been laid up for around 6 years, and was taken off the road when the AOS packed up, anyway, I'm going through the car to get it roadworthy, I know nothing about boxsters, I've noticed, and it's been noted on past mots that the power steering ferul clamp is split, not leaking, I've taken off the driverside wheel ( Rhd) and there are 2 x power steering pipes going to the rack held in by 1 x bolt, the pipes then go across the front of the car and then somewhere to the rear, I want to replace or repair the ferul pipe, but I don't know if I can access it if I take the front anti roll bar down, it's the bigger diameter pipe , see my pic, it's not that clear as my camera phone is rubbish, could I put a jubilee clamp instead of the ferul clamp, but I'm unsure if it's a high or low pressure pipe, any ideas ?
