New 04 Boxster S 986 owner in South Africa

1 Attachment(s)
Hi fellow 986 owners,

Recently picked up an 04 Boxster S Tiptronic with 85000km on the clock.

Would have preferred a manual but couldn't find a post-2013 facelifted model in good condition.

My car has a minor issue - according to the mechanical report the front stabilizer link dust covers are torn.

The convertible roof also doesn't retract all the way. But that's not a major issue for now.

Does anyone know the part number of the front stabilizer link dust covers? Any third party parts available or can I only get Porsche original parts?

See pics of the stabilizer links from the vehicle inspection report.

Thanks in advance! Attachment 23385Attachment 23386

Welcome!
Those links are not expensive and easily found (at least here in the US). Amazon my even have them. Also very easy to DYI.

Thanks dghii!

Could you possibly provide a website link so I can try find a similar one here?

Porsche factory part will undoubtedly be overpriced for something like this.

That is a link to the ******************************** page listing after market drop links for 2003 Boxster which are the same as for the 2004. Not sure if you have a similar outlet in SA but Hopefully this gets you started.

Fill in R O C K A U T O in place of those asterisks no spaces. Or go to the Pelican Parts website and see what they have. Pelican sponsors this forum so referring to anyone else generates all those asterisks.

Many thanks Paulofto! I'll take a look.
