New Member, First Porsche!
Hey all,
I just pulled the trigger on a Boxster after looking pretty hard for the last 3-4 months. Its a Black '02 with 55k miles and had been immaculately looked after in SoCal for the last 13 years by its previous owner. I've been on a BIG learning journey just to arrive at the point of ownership and i've really loved it so far. My first weekend driving in LA has been a mixture of pure exhilaration, stalling in a few pretty embarrassing situations and a thousand questions to a friend who has a similar era 911. My wife loves it (so far) and is planning to learn to drive stick so my fingers are firmly crossed on that front. This forum has been so invaluable in getting to this point, so thanks! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1615267731.jpghttp://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1615267807.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1615267922.jpg |
Welcome, it's beautiful! Can't imagine living in SoCal and driving that.

Beautiful car! I think I looked at that one. Was it listed on CL?
Enjoy. I find myself taking the long, slow way to my destinations. Where am I going that's better than sitting in the driver's seat of a Porsche? |
Beautiful car, great colour combo. Must be a dream with the top down in Cali. Enjoy!

Thanks! Beach pics are at Montecito and by the building is Carpinteria.

Congrats. These things are a blast to drive and easy to work on. Enjoy it!

Congrats! My only suggestion is buying a beater manual car for your wife to learn on.
