Ignition Key Problem

Recently purchased a 2001 Porsche Boxster. Went to start it today and key would not turn in ignition, tried several times and no go. Went back later and key turned and it started, no problem. Later in the day I went out to start it and same problem. What is my problem ?

Look for posts about replacing the ignition switch (electric part only). This is a common failure. It is not expensive to replace yourself but it is a bit of a pain to replace due to its location.
