New Member needs help w/ vacuum line and loss of power issue

Hello everyone,

We purchased an 06' Boxster S back in August and as a moderately capable DIY mechanic I am slowly getting myself more familiar with the vehicle. Unfortunately, I've run into two questions that try as I may through internet and resource material searches I have not been able to find answers for.

The first (and most immediate) question is about a vacuum line that comes off the plenum above the MAF throttle body and where the other end is supposed to go.

If someone would be kind enough to explain what I am doing wrong when trying to upload a photo to the forum I will attach one that shows the line in question.

Neither the paperclip icon at the top of this window nor the "Click here to Upload a Photo" link below allows me to choose a file. What am I missing?

Thank you,

You might have better luck posting in a 987 forum.
