986 Cranks No Start

Hello 986ers! Hope everybody’s staying safe with their families!
I have an ‘01Boxster S 6 speed 104K that cranks and won’t start.Went to work, 8 hrs later it wont start just cranks. No warning,no CEL,no codes.Runs great prior.I’ve been reading forums, watching videos with no success so I joined this forum and hopefully somebody had already come across this issue.Battery is new, checked the fuses, relays,CPS,spark, starter,MAF sensor. When I turn the key On It sounds normal with the whirring sound coming by the fuel tank. That’s the Fuel Pump turning on right? Tried to jump the fuel relay socket and I don’t hear the fuel pump run.No fuel going to the line.Checked fuel pressure, none. So I thought it was the fuel pump.Installed new fuel pump and still the same.checked the old fuel pump connecting it directly to the battery and it runs.

Is there anything else that controls the Fuel pump? It looks like something hinders it from running.

I’d appreciate any input very much, Stay Safe everyone!

Had the same problem a couple of years ago and went through similar process. Checked fuel, spark and air. Thought it might be a crank position sensor but checked the voltage and it was reading ok as well. Ultimately went back to test the fuel pressure again and in the process of testing the fuel pressure, something let loose and she started. Never really could confirm the problem but I suspect the fuel pressure regulator was stuck not allowing enough fuel. Who knows. Anyway replaced it and have had no issues for several years now. It's my daily driver. Good luck and sorry I could be no more help.
