Bought my 2002 Boxster S in March - finally got around to taking and posting a few photos. Zanzibar Red, P63 Sport Package, X76 Flared Rocker Panels; came with aftermarket MODA wheels. Had just 9400 miles when purchased - exceptionally low miles (which concerns me at some level). After I put 5000 miles on it, I'll get to a local Porsche specials for a 'post-purchase inspection' to identify and resolve any lurking issues.
Aesthetically very nice - and overall condition reflects it's modest use and a degree of care by the two previous owners - clearly a weekend car for most of it's life! I've owned Porsches since 1998, a 1981 SC Targa and a 1996 993 Targa, I had 'gap year' of ownership before finding the 986S. PCA Member since 1998 as well - from 2000-2017 in San Diego, and now back East in Charlotte. Local advice much appreciated! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1563308054.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1563308127.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1563308718.jpg |

Welcome! Very nice 986!
There was a recent post about someone who purchased another very low mile 986 that you might want to take a look at: http://986forum.com/forums/boxster-general-discussions/75630-2000-boxster-3-000-miles.html |
Five years ago I bought a 2000 S with 10,400 miles. Since then I've put 27,000 miles with no issues except for replacing CV boots and spark plugs. The car was maintained "By the book" and I've continued to maintain it properly.
Hope you enjoy yours as I have. Larry (the bald eagle) |
