Problem with my 986 Boxster
I have a problem with my passengers side front lights. The low beams work, but the turn signals nor the high beams. The turn signal works but blinks very fast in back and inside. My question is three fold, first has any one ever ran into this problem second how did you get it resolved. Last is there another fuse box in the frump and where is it located if there is. My car is a 2000, 986 2.7L, 5sp. Thanks for any and all help.

Maybe your ignition switch is faulty. |
Thanks for response, I didn't get a owners book with my car I am the fifth owner, where would the relays be in the frump, trunk behind or under the dash? I have checked all the bulbs and they are new. I guess there is just one fuse box then huh. No one around my small town wants to work on my car an the nearest Porsche dealer is 125 miles away.

Might want to post this under the general forum for more responses...
The fuses are located in a panel that is located in the interior, just above and to the left of your left foot when you are sitting in the drivers seat. There should be a little card on the inside of the fuse door that shows fuse locations. Faulty ignition switches are common on this car. Thankfully its a DYI with a $15 part. Headlight switches also go bad with age. You can find used ones online for ~$50. Lots of instructions available on this forum and on Youtube. |
