Great Forum going on here so I figured I better join up as I recently have joined up with the legions of Boxster owners with a pooched engine. I needed a G86/20 for a mid engine project and ended up with a very nice car with a very sad engine to boot. So I will be playing with this great little car in the near future and will be leaning on/reciprocating with you guys for some inspiration/guidance from time to time. Weather's cold out/shop's warm inside... time to open the tool box! Hmmm, gonna need more metric Snap ons...

Welcome to the forum. Do you have a plan for the engine yet? What year car? For the earlier 986s it's often more affordable to find a used engine and swap it in. The '03 and '04 cars are a little tougher to replace and may make sense to rebuild. Or do you have another engine on hand from your project? We love to see build (& rebuild) threads with pictures.

The boxster is a 2002 S , black with grey guts. No set plan on engine yet...will start keeping my eyes open . You bet I will get some pics up when once I pull car out of the trailer and clean her up a bit. Neat cars for sure.

Well just like Manitoba you don't have a lot of twisty interesting roads to drive but at least you are closer to Alberta and the Rockies if you want to take a short trip.

Good luck with the car.
