new 04 boxster s!

been reading up on the 986 boxsters for a couple of months, really excited to finally own a boxster! Dark blue/grey combination with ~175k miles

Its in winter storage while im out of town, heres a ****************ty pic in the meantime

175K? Did you have a PPI performed? Results? For how much was the purcha$e?

What are the plans?

Sweet. Mine is also an 04 Boxster S. Picked it up in March and had a lot of fun. Mine was just under 30k miles with no maintenance history but a good ppi. Ended up doing the 60k maintenance at 30, new tires, and a transmission fluid change. And I picked up the Durametic tool. Now it’s in winter storage also. Have fun and enjoy

Yes PPI without compression/leakdown test (was steered away from that by the shop for some reason). Nothing major popped up, couple of small issues like the axle seals

Mileage isn’t a biggie, I’ll drive this till our self driving overlords take over the road. For that I’ll have to refurb the seats etc

Under 30k on the odo oh lord thats amazing! I’ll be refreshing mine before summers here too, could you point me to a good resource?

Welcome to the club, I bought my Boxster last summer and love it. I'm in York, PA and had good experiences to with Translog

I’m in Indianapolis. I did the 60k service at the dealer and the transmission flush at a local Indy shop that has Porsche trained mechanics. I did the tranny flush as I had two codes on the tiptronic and with 15 year old fluid figured I would give that a shot before digging deeper. All is well and the tranny codes have not returned.
