New owner 2002 Boxster S
 

Greetings from Minnesota. I'm the proud new owner of a 2002 986S triple black.
I am also a motorcycle guy with nine bikes in the garage. The internet forums have proved to be a great source of information with my bikes so I know that signing up on the 986 forum would also be valuable for educating myself to the new 986S. I have a engineering background and have done all my own service work in the past. I look forward to being part of yet another online community.

I should mention that my garage and shop is setup for welding and fabricating work as well as mechanical maintenance. I've fabricated many motorcycle parts in the past and enjoy making new parts and improving old ones. If anyone has some ideas for parts for the 986 let me know. I don't do CNC work but can fab and weld aluminum and S.S.

Here's a recent picture of one of my beemer's. It's a 1978 R100/7 that I found sitting in a barn after a ten year nap. It was really rough when I dragged it home. It turned into a winter project two years ago and is getting a new top end this winter.

Here's a picture of GS. It rolled over 200K last year and is my daily ride. They are a great do it all bike.
