99 Zenith Blue Boxster

This past weekend, I drove from St. Louis, Missouri to Evansville, Indiana and drove back home in the car of my dreams; my newly acquired 1999 Porsche Boxster in Zenith Blue with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was immaculately maintained with good records and 94,000 miles and I plan on keeping up it's immaculate record and hopefully adding a few upgrades along the way. I humbly present to you, my very first Porsche

*Special thanks to Mike in Evansville for taking such good care of it for the past 13 years and to all the posters in 986 Forum for all the great information!

Hi from Lancashire in the UK

Great looking boxster in a great colour too. First thing Id do is get some toothpaste on those headlights so they look clear again.

The old Porsche enthusiast I bought my first Porsche froms parting words to me were. "Porsches don't drive themselves but the more the drive them the more you want to drive them"

How correct he was

Good luck and enjoy

Peter

Thank you! I was trying to figure out how to clear those lights up. I didn't want to use anything to harsh for fear of getting it on the paint. I'll try some toothpaste and report back with the results.

Thanks! You don't see too many Zenith Blues out there, or at least I don't.

Plans:

First and foremost, replace the tires so I'm shopping for those now.

I'd like to replace the top too since I found out the other night this leaks a little bit at the rear window.

I'd really like to get clear headlights but I think that's going to be more long term since tires and top will be a pretty penny.

For smaller jobs, I'd like to do the ashtray delete and replace the shift knob and boot.
