Hello from Norway! '97 base.

Hi all!

Hello! 45 year old Norwegian with 4 kids and a 1997 base tip Boxster. Been lurking for some time, and finding really good tips and hints on this forum.

I've previously owned an '86 944 and a '81 911 SC which I recently sold while there was profit to be had. Earned about 12000 USD owning that SC for six years, used that cash to Clear some debt and purchase this fine vehicle:

Can't for the life of me understand why you can buy 2 Boxsters for the price of an old SC, but hey! I'm not complaining!

It's shiny too!

Many don't understand why I sold the 911, but while it's very special and charming it just didn't give me that special feeling anymore.

Here's a video I made in appreciation of the classic 911:

OK, done tooting my own horn now. Back to the Boxster - I've so far swapped the stock cd player for an aftermarket 2-din unit, including a reverse camera. And plenty more mods to come, I reckon!

Welcome, Raymond. Great video, I really enjoyed watching it!

Where in Norway do you live? My wife is from Sandvika, west of Oslo. I love visiting Norway every summer, as it is such a beautiful country! Her family owns two small cottages on the Drammensfjord, where we stay when visiting. My brother-in-law is very generous, and lends us a car which is usually an older, beater Golf wagon. I am envious that you get to enjoy a Porsche on the twisty, beautiful roads there!

Raymound, and welcome to the Boxster Luv that knows no boundries.

Thanks all! I've forgotten about this thread I started last year... sorry about that!

I actually live and work in Drammen! I drive through Sandvika at least every other week!

Small world! My wife's family's cottages are about 2 km west of Hyygen.

I'll be there in early July, I'll keep a look out for you!

Do that! I'll keep you in mind. I go for a recreational drive past Hyggen now and then. Great roads, curvy and Scenic.
