Blinking light on gear dash

I have a blinking light in the gear dash, from P to 4 or Drive to 4. Could somebody explain me what is that and how to fix it?

Tiptronic fault. It is in emergency mode so you can limp home
It will only give you 4th gear in forward
You need to have a mechanic look at it ASAP
I would recommend to not drive it
Have you had a look in the owners manual?

Thanks for your replay. Could you send me the owners manual, please? I took the tranny`s oil out yesterday and I had a little more power, but still slow. I put 5 qts, but still it looks like it needs more, so I bought another 5 qts to complete it. I read on the forum that it only suppose to take 3.5 qts and 9.5 for a complete oil replacement, but I replace the filter, could be that the reason that is going to take more than the 5 qts ? Could be the reason that is blinking or limp home mode?
