New owner and member
Good day all. Bought 02 S 3 days ago and it truly is a grin making machine. Still learning what everything does, listening for all the noises to make sure it's sound. Last Porsche I drove was a 914 35 yrs ago but from then, a Porsche has always been my target car. 52k on the odometer so I hope if no problems to there, that it goes many more without problems. Of course once I read through the manual for the Climate control, I realized "That's why its so hard to understand..." the LCD appears to have gone bad but at least everything works so its just the display. Also only one key. Why do people keep keys? Another $300 I have to throw at it. All in time and money. I'm sure I'll be using this forum to get a better handle on how these cars work as I'm a do the work yourself car owner

Congrats...
I'm a new member and owner as well, welcome and congrats! The only thing I could have asked more would have been the sports package...
Take care, Justin |
Welcome aboard fella,
Bosxsters are relatively easy to work on yourself, this site is fantastic for 'how to'guides so you won't go far wrong. |
Welcome kk2002s:
I found your comment funny.. Quote:
I did recently reach out the the previous owner and asked if they ever found the second key. Which they did, so I left their license plate frame in turn for the 2nd key.. (Alumni frame) Of course the remote electronics don't work, but hey I have a second key.. Not ready to take the $300 plunge to have is fixed.. Enjoy your new Boxster... |
Check to see that you only need a battery replaced in your black remote button area of your key.Cheap battery and easy to do.If you squeeze the button, the tiny light should flash. If no flash, probably dead battery.
