Question Going to take the dive into my first Boxster.

Well, looks like I'm finally going to jump into the deep end of the pool and buy my first Boxster. I've been waiting for the redesign because at 6' 5" I just did'nt fit into the old body style. I just found this forum and this is my first post so go easy on me.
I plan on buying an 05 so at least I can get some depreciation hit out of the way.

I was hoping to get some direction from the group and I do have some questions.

Is there any difference in initial build quality beyween the 2 build sites and if yes, where is this located in the vin#?

I'm keeping the option content low, are there any you would consider essential?

I'm leaning towards a traditional red/tan color combination. What exterior colors do you feel really bring out the lines of the car?

Any other sage advice, etc will be welcome.

Talking

I have never seen any reliable data on build quality of any Porsche car, save the JD Powers data. These data do not differentiate by build site.

If you do a search on VIN here you should find my post that deconstructs the VIN number and what each set of digits means.

Good luck!

In my HUMBLE opinion...the bare essentials are 18" wheels, windstop, Hi Fi, Metallic paint, Heated seats.

I went with Basalt black and beige...looks just like a good Guiness floating on top of Harp. Hmmm...gotta run to the fridge.
