I just got my first Porsche!! After a year of anticipating the eventual replacement of my 2001 SAAB 9.3 (165K, solid car), I really went for the fun option. I am so excited! I just drove round trip, SF to Lake Tahoe, and had a blast!. It's been a week, and I think I'm never going back to plain old cars.

Here's my 2000 Boxster. It's got 85K, in lovely condition. I got it for $8,000 after a full PPI at Heyer Performance in Mountain View.

So glad to driving this!!!

Welcome and congrats. Very nice! What color is that? Looks like a really clean car and that price is great...lots of fun for so little.

This is a great forum too, Boxster owners are a pretty tight group and always helpful.

Thanks. I have been reading the forums here for a while as I was trying to learn more about the cars. The color is rainforest green, I think, with a beige interior. Everything is stock at this point.

Could you tell me something? The floor mats, which are the proper color and say "Porsche", are really plush. Maybe a 1/2 thick pile, more than any other car I've had. Are these normal?

Thanks again, and I look forward to learning tons more about my new ride!

I'm guessing they are from Lloyds. I'm not aware of a genuine Porsche blush mat. Others might know. You can get genuine Porsche mats from Pelican Parts for a little over $100.00. I got some and they are nice.

good to know. The heavy plush just seems a little out of place to me. Again, I keep learning and seeing such great cars on the site!

Nice find. My first car and first Porsche was also a 2000 Boxster, which I bought 9 months ago. Black, 76k when I bought it. Great car for the price.
