Can anyone help me with what is missing on this 2k3 dash?

Traction Control goes up top.
I've seen the raise/lower spoiler in the ones below.
I've never seen all three of the switches on the left occupied.

And if this is a trick question, your cigarette lighter is missing.

ha, not a trick, I did mean the switches....

not my car...yet....does this mean it comes w/o traction control?

altarr 01-07-2010 07:11 PM

also, forgive the total newbie questions....

why wouldnt there be a switch to raise and lower the spoiler?

I'm not positive on the 2003, but I do think that means you don't have traction control.

There is a switch by the drivers left leg that raises and lowers the spoiler on the Boxster.

I believe that center plastic piece is also shared with the 996 Carrera (1999-2004). For that car, that might be were the default location of the spoiler control is. It's also were the rear wiper button goes now that I think about it.

And the big circle on the bottom is where the lighter goes for right hand drive cars, in case you are wondering.

Just went out to the garage and looked at the dash in my 2003 Boxster S. All three of those switches on the left are also blanks on my car. In my car, just below those three, is the delay control for the intermittant wipers.

My 2000 is set up just like that too.

is the no traction control a deal breaker?

My thoughts as well. Why care about traction control on a boxster? Hasn't bothered me a bit that it's not on my car....

The left switches were included in the event the vehicle came through with a power sun-roof. This was a rare option that was only available in '03. Seriously, I believe one of them is there to accommodate a rear defroster had a customer ordered the factory hard top option.

I'll have to look at my 03 later but I thought the traction control button was in the center console. Since it's an 03 then it has a glass back window and the button for that is on the right side. I thought it was a trick question also and was going to say the cigarette lighter. :D
