New round here ('02 S)

Hey everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself around here, as I am a new member of the Porsche family. Picked up a 2002 Boxster S (arctic silver over black) about a week ago and it's great! By far the most fun car i've ever driven.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else on here lived in the Chicagoland area, I'd love to check out some other Boxsters and maybe get together for some driving.

My only complaint is that the stereo is less then exceptional, and if anyone had any info on adding rear speakers or any typical mods, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

Haven't had a chance to meet Chills or super66 yet, but they seem like great guys.

Also, look into joining Chicago PCA :

Did a Rally with them this weekend. Older crowd ( I'm 36 ) but everyone was really nice...

Welcome. live in Dallas..yeah, would be nice to get some local car hook ups. I have the Bose and I highly recommend it....it is very much like the hifi at the house....it is amazingly accurate and it's got punch. So....is there not a way to get the upgrade after purchase? I don't know the answer to this question. But...If not....then after market, I would highly recommend ADS amps and speakers. For head unit, maybe several options and I have not modified my cars in a while...Sony used to be a favourite. A good amp is fast, accurate and powerful and a good speaker can take it and communicate "as if" the music was live and happening inside your car...ADS all the way, if that sounds good to your ear.
