Hello Woodie, Got your contact info on the 986 Forum. Hope you might help concerning the height adjustment handle for my 2001 Boxster drivers seat. The handle appears to be OK but it comes out especially if I sit on the seat bolster getting in the car (I'm 6'5" so its a folding job for sure). Don't know what is supposed to keep the handle in place. There are two screws that go thru the black plastic plate (with the back adjustment switch) where the handle goes thru but I cant see where these screws are supposed to be fastened to. There is a parts diagram of the seat adjuster on the forum. In that diagram #13 is the handle, #10 is the plastic plate and maybe #20 is what the screws are supposed to hit? Any guidance you have for what might be an effective repair would be most appreciated. Don Jorg, The Villages, FL dljorg@att.net

12-24-2021 03:28 PM - permalinkalohaboxsterHi Woody, I'm a new Boxster owner (02 Base) and ready to replace the right & left rear ABS sensor wires with the Wiring Harness Repair Kit from Pelican (986-612-953-01-OEM and *954*) I read some valuable posts that you wrote regarding the process. I hope you might enlighten me as a newby: the kit has 5 wires; 3 terminate in barrel connectors and 2 are just wires. Kit also includes 3 crimps and 3 heat shrink tubes. I have located the connectors in my trunk and identified the yellow one as the ending. Questions: 1. do you know how I should separate the pieces of the yellow connector so that I can access the back to hopefully extract the wires? 2. why the bare wires? I am guessing I need to splice them, but not sure where. maybe that will become evident when I am able to access the rear of the yellow plastic housing/connector. 3. Any advice on pin extraction and wire splicing would be most appreciated as I have done neither in the past! Thank you very much! Ashley

Hi Woody, I was referred to you by Joshua Gray's youtube post on fixing the mechanical door lock mechanism, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZGvdYb8A0o (timestamp @ 6:52). I'm in need of that same part that broke on the inside of his. Do you have any available, and if so how much would it be to get shipped to Jacksonville, FL?

Hello,
I'm looking for a 986 (2003) 3 stalk steering column switch. Let me know if you have one and the price. Also, I'm looking for the ball socketed calbles that are on either side of the rear of the convertible. The ones that you have to pop off to get to the engine cover. Plus I'm looking for the ash tray. Please also let me know if you run across a Lapis Blue fuel door. These are not critical.
Thanks

10-07-2019 06:35 PM - permalinktimetraveler2222Hi Woody!
Purchased a couple of S rear subframes from you several months ago for my base 2000 Boxster with Tiptronic. Have everything installed with S rear calipers and rotors and my base axles. The ABS light is lit up. Do you know if there is a difference between the base and S axles for the Tiptronic transmissions? Could the ABS gap be different between the two axles? If you think a set of S tiptronic axles would solve the problem do you have a set in inventory? I believe the part number for the S axles for a Tiptronic is 986.332.024.51. I really appreciate your thoughts on this and will buy the S axles for a Tiptronic from you if you have them!
Thanks, Bill -
