I'm not at my car right now, but I believe it's behind the lower carpeted panel in the front trunk. There are two plastic pins that hold the panel in and they're not easy to undo. And I think you're going to be underwhelmed when you do see the kit. Better get a magnifying glass. It's one of a few sad features in a car of this price.

Rail, did you lose the manual that came with your brand new Porsche? I'm willing to bet you that the location of the toolkit is plainly described within that wonderful and elusive book!
If you can't find it, look on the top of your toilet tank. That's where I keep mine for library reading.

Well, since you're on the subject of missing tools and things....I cannot find the wheel lock key for my 01 Boxster, so should I see if the dealership can get me another one or would it be easier and cheaper to just cut those off and replace with a new set?
Thanks,

Sup bud,
It's in the front trunk, behind the carpet liner, below the air compressor. It's located at the very bottom though, so you have to pull the plastic shield full-forward to get to it. It's in a black plastic case that looks like an over-sized travel toothbrush holder. Don't get too pumped though, I don't think you could repair a bicycle, let alone a car, with the contents of the kit.

Thanks Randall, I know I can always count on you for your help. I did pull out the owners manual, however, I had a piece of carpet hanging down in front of the "Giant Toothbrush Holder" so I guess I missed it. Thanks for the help guys.

Rail, now my interest is piqued. I really need you or someone esle on the board with a fancy new Boxster to photograph and post that giant toothbrush holder with all its contents so I can have a look at it.

Whoa, I remember playing this game in prison once..."show me yours and I'll show you mine" never works out that well.
Just kidding...I will get a picture posted as long as you don't use big words like "piqued".

Hi,
Nope, she's in Dearborn, MI doing the FORD SENIOR PGA PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP, won't be home until next Tues., but we're planning on doing the Mississippi River Run together the following weekend in the Boxster and checking out some great views, nice B&Bs and copius amounts of good food and wine. Then she's off again to Akron for the NEC Invitational Golf Tournament. To paraphrase the Mastercard commercial - "Wife who loves her job... PRICELESS!!"
Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

Here you go, Randall:
Part no. 997.721.115.00, so obviously the 911 folks are treated to the same lavish kit.

I can't possibly believe you have anything to gripe about. Obviously your newer model Boxster needs NO emergency maintenance whatsoever and these are just nice little gifts given to you for buying such a worry-free sports car. Kinda like the first class bag I get when I'm upgraded on overseas flights. Not really necessary, but a nice ammenity.
The toothbrush was a very nice touch, by the way.

By the way, where's the tow hook? I haven't looked for it in my car yet.
