Werks Reunion - check in here

Anyone that is going to the Werks reunion tomorrow (3/10/2017), use this thread and check in here.

Turns out that I had requested tomorrow off from work months ago and didn't remember until it popped up. I didn't have any success in passing off my corral spot to anyone (I guess everybody already going got their spot a long time ago), so I am going after all

So I will be there, blue Boxster with silver hardtop and 413 decals on the sides, parked in the Corral. They are supposed to put all the Boxsters at the front so anyone in the corral, we should be able to find each other.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow.

Steve

Looking forward to meeting you. Any thoughts on a last minute secret Forum dance to recognize other members???

I should be easy to recognize, I'll be the guy dragging his wife who could care less about being there... Payback for many evenings at Bed Bath and Beyond!

I'll be there. At a hotel at the Fl/Ga border tonight. Bunch of cars at the hotels. Must be over a dozen at this hotel alone. Talked to another Boxster owner as well as 911SC owner and 944owner

Maybe we can plan an informal meet tomorrow morning, say 11 am, in the boxster area of the corral, they are supposed to park us all together. Wherever the majority of boxsters point (I'll update the thread tomorrow once I lay eyes on it) and then around 11:20'ish head over to the lunch area, maybe we can eat together?

PORSCHE OVERLOAD!

Steve: I saw your car but not you. Walked the venue, came back to the Boxster area (1230ish) and your car was gone.

A lot of nice rides, however, I was not impressed with a number of people I tried to talk to. The folks I wanted to talk to and ask questions kind of blew me off. Is it just me?

I wasn't able to make it down due to some work commitments....so pissed at myself for not scheduling better.

The Concours has been switched to Saturday (tomorrow) due to weather, if anyone wants a ticket, please PM me. I also have a ticket to the Festival of Speed tomorrow.

There was no breakfast, despite it being on the schedule, and despite announcements over the PA that breakfast was coming. Then lunch started, but the lines were really long and it was getting about that time so I slipped away a little early.

If you came down at 12:30 and missed my car, you *just* missed be by like 10 minutes... sorry about that...

I was in the coffee line at the Pirelli booth a couple of times and had a nice chat with the retired gentleman that was lined up behind me, with a 981 Boxster.

Other than that, I tried to chat a little with some people in the lunch line (before I saw it was $10 hot dogs) and didn't get too far...

So 100% of the Boxster people I talked too were cool.

Go to the judging area and see Swiftmotoring, he has a red 944 turbo in the judging area, Marvin, you can recognize him from the picture above of me and him. He is cool!

I did see about 7-8 people I know from going to the track, which was pretty cool too

Boxsters (this was when I first got there around 8 AM, it totally filled up, I should have taken a later photo)

More Boxsters

918

Neat graphics

Leh Keen's rally 911

Swiftmotoring's very nice 951 entered in the judging. Good luck!

911R

550 Spyder, a real one, 1 of only 6 made with the center seat option (unless I read the placard wrong)

The 4 Boxsters selected by the BoxsterRegister.org to represent the 4 models of Boxster.

10 picture limit per post, so just because:

The bag itself was a very nice zipper bag with a werks small towel, Pirelli poster, a few stickers and some booklets and pamphlets that I have checked out but looked like advertising.

Then at the Pirelli tent you could get a hat, keychain, and some wristbands.

At the Porsche experience booth you could get some swag including postcards, and some nice hardcover promotional books on the new panamera and Cayman 718, no boxster book though...

Well crap. I knew I should have checked back here! Dad & I got there in his 981 about 8:15. Talked to quite a few people but didn't think to get names or ask about this place. It was a cool show. I have tons of pictures. Some very nice cars. Made me appreciate my 986 more. hopefully I can drive it out next year.
