What I am not in love with is the oil leak that the car has after a hard drive.... this looks like a common RMS leak correct?
There's probably about 2 teaspoons of oil on the ground overnight after a 40 minute round of driving.
I'm personally not going to sweat it, I expected this type of thing when I rolled the dice considering the great price i paid.

Looking good, welcome to the forum. I am sure Mr. Danger will be pleased with the speed yellow. I think it's safe to say that is indeed a RMS leak that occurs to some boxsters. I don't know how mechanical you are, but many forum members have actually replaced the RMS seal themselves and even installed a convertible top. They are very nice cars indeed and love to be driven.

My dad and I intend to tackle the project.. but not immediately.

She has her flaws but I cannot stop staring at this car whenever it's nearby. Wow what a beautiful car, the yellow is not nearly as obnoxious as I imagined it would be in person.

Unfortunately, you can't tell if it's the RMS or IMS leaking until you pull back the tranny...

Welcome to the forum

Nice looking ride...Keep an eye on the oil leak and the oil level. Could be ims, too.

Gotta love your 250HP S motor! Is it manual or auto transmission?

Thanks guys, the car is a manual, lots of choice in that 6 speed. WOW!

After the new tires, wheel, headlights come in we'll be pulling the transmission.. The big project I was looking forward to.

Welcome! Looks like the car is now in good hands! When you replace your top, get the glass. I got mine from Auto Tops Direct on their eBay store. The broken emblem is another easy fix, I had to do mine as well.

Congratulations Rawley! I think I know exactly how you feel!

As others have hinted you could have a failing IMS bearing leaking the oil. You should at a minimum remove the oil filter & inspect it for metal. You need a 74mm oil filter wrench & about a half quart of oil to replace what drains out.
