Each COB strip contains 60 tiny LEDs so when it lighted up it looks like a light bar instead of individual LED and it is much brighter than the typical LED.

Can you provide exact measurements for the COB LED? Overall and lighted surface? That would be great
Working on an integrated-into-headlight DRL/parking light retrofit for my next projector install...

Good effort. To 'clean up' the look at the front of your car you might consider an amberectomy to remove the orange reflector in the headlight unit.

Any issues/concerns with cooling having them in the vents? How are they holding up vs road trash?

No noticeable affect on the front cooling, gauge always stay around “8”. The LEDs are as good as day 1 and the plastic lenses are holding up very well against road debris, but I only drive on nice weather days and not exposed to road salts/sands during winter time.

Can they be made a little less bright? As I see them on newer P cars, you can see the dots of each light and they don't really light the road. Just a visual thing. Or maybe half as many lights?
Those can easily be made the turn signals.

I'm not an electrical engineer but I'm sure you can make them dimmer by adding some resistors, maybe? Yes, these can be turn signal lights if you wired them as such.
