May Detailing Day

All,

I know it's been a long cold Winter but as the crocus and daffodils sprout so do the Boxsters.

It's time to start thinking about getting together for a detailing session. I would be happy to host it again. Last year we had a good turnout as can be seen from last years event:

We can do the same format - detailing and barbeque. This month is tight but May weekends (except Memorial Day) are free.

Please cast a vote for which Saturday fits best.

-Rey

Cool Rey. I'll go for the first one but the others are possible too.

Thanks Rey! Seems no multiple choice is allowed for the poll, but the 1st and 15th are possibles for me currently. Charlie, we may be able to do the Klasse vs. Zaino "shine off" you talked of last year...

I voted for 5/8 to make it even

But we can probably do anything except 5/22.

BUXTER,

The detailing day is in MetroWest Mass (about 20 miles West of Boston). That would be a long haul from Buffalo.....

Everyone is welcome if you want to make the trip!

Matt,

I'm not sure. I had the car serviced that week (low mileage annual, oil change and a couple of niggly things). Car sat in the garage for a few days and I needed to move as we got new garage doors/openers installed this week. When I started it it made a horrible metallic clacking noise. Thought the engine was going to detonate. Engine was turning over very slowly too. It went away in about 5 seconds to just a low clicking noise (not unlike a loud valve tap). Had it flatbedded to the dealer and still waiting to gear from them.

Glad it happened now and not on the way down to BRBS next month!

We generally start in the morning and it runs through the afternoon. I would say most of the activity is from 10-3.
Lat year a few of us went out for a little drive after spiffing up the cars.
