Salem in Aug.

Planning a trip from Toronto to the north coast area around Salem.
Will be spending some time in the Berkshires before going to Salem. Any suggestions for routing and sites to see would be appreciated.
Plan on heading from Salem up to Mt. Tremblant for NE DE Aug. 9,10. One nite on the road . Which route & where to stay?

Thanks,

Stan

Couple of places to check out in VT, if your route back up to Quebec takes you that way:

- Rabbit Hill Inn (Lower Waterbury) - Never stayed there myself, but have only heard raves about it from many folks.

- Four Columns Inn (Newfane) - Great food, they have lodging too (if same quality as restaurant, quite good). This could be fun if you have time to drive some non-interstates...

- Many, many options around greater Manchester area - lodging and dining mecca. Very accessible from major interstate and VT state routes.
