I dont know but i did notice that both front and rear mounts of the front track arm are ALOT easier to reach than the rear control arm was. The factory seems alittle light...maybe low-grade magneisium??? Debulozparts are heavier material but that sits well with me since i dont want them to break haha, Rather have a heavier aftermarket suspension part rather than a lighter one. Yeah i didnt realize that he wasnt a sponcer anymore.... weird. |
Ohhh,...
BobMarley1,
I thought CJ mentioned somewhere that they were our former sponsor?? Maybe I read it wrong...thanks. ...I did read it wrong, CJ mentioned "forum sponsor" and I quickly read it as "former sponsor".... CJ, ...funny, looks like we posted simultaneously. I was replying to BobMarley1 prior to your posting. Anyway, let us know how the next install goes!! Oh,....I forgot to ask...did you have to get an alignment after changing out the control arms?? |
Ahhh ok lol, Nope didnt need an alignment after the install of the rear control arms, im going to try really really hard to get the new adjustible Front control arms as close to spec as possible so i dont have to get an alignment.
|
Sweet! Can't wait to see how your install goes! Defintely give us an update!!
|
Hey
How are the arms holding up? Posted on Renntech too.
I don't see them up for sale yet... Thanks! |
They are holding up great, i went in for an alignment weeks ago and my measurements were off a bit so i guess no matter how close you think you have them adjusted to stock spec... they could be off alittle. Other than that, they are great and i have no regrets!

FYI, the fronts don't go bad so often. the more likely culprit is the sway bar drop links. they make the same sound, but are much cheaper to replace ($55 on ebay). if you do get the front control arms, definitely have it aligned. you can use their adustability to ensure equal caster from side to side. this is a great feature. |

cause when your installing the track arm, you want some wiggle room and if you tighten the lock nuts before installing, you'll have a hard time getting the screw holes lined up. |
CJ,
Didn't notice the need to separate the ball joint from the control arm as it says in the Bentley manual. Did I miss something? Thanks. Joe |
Nope, Theres no need for that, the control arm just falls right out once the 2 bolts are taken out
