Outer Tie Rod Replacement Question

I plan to replace my outer tie rods on my 02 2.7 this weekend. I’m getting tools, parts, etc. together and from what I’ve researched, the tie rod ball joint nut is 19mm. I can’t seem to get my box or open end metric wrench to fit. Neither does my 19mm socket. I think it’s due to the recess around the nut. Is there a specialized wrench required? I haven’t heard anyone mention this, so maybe it’s just my tool sets that are making this an issue?

I've had the tie rod ball joint end off before and didn't recall any special tricks with the nut, I used a box wrench (or maybe a socket, has been a while. Box wrench on the LCA for sure). I'm bleeding the brakes in the next day or two and can verify the size and snap a pic, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Thanks Steve0x. I figured out the problem, and it's a bit embarrassing. There was a small stone seated in the recess below and behind the nut. This wouldn't allow the box wrench opening to fully capture the nut. I'm all set now that the stone has been removed. That's what happens when you get older, can't see as well as you once did and don't use sufficient lighting.
