Quick question on wiring a headunit

Hello Guys,

I've done some searches on installing a new head unit and from what I've gathered the yellow and red wires on the harness vs the deck are reversed.

So am I correct in assuming that when I'm spliceing together the decks wiring harness to the Metra adapter harness I just connect yellow to red and vice versa? and then plug in the adapter into the harness that came out of my Becker unit?

Just want to make sure I didn't have a brain fart and misunderstand what I was reading. If it matter's it's a 2001 S, with door speakers, nothing crazy.

Thanks!

Installing Pioneer AVH 4000NEX with Euro Motorsport Double DIN

I've done that job, but I don't remember the details. Post #17 of this thread says not to switch the yellow and red. Take a look at this thread and the links it references. Your answer should be in one of them. If you cannot be sure, try hooking it up on a temporary basis and see what happens. If you do it wrong, it will probably be on all the time whether you have the key switched on or not.

I had to switch yellow and red when I installed a JVC BT head unit a couple years ago.
