Carbon fiber center console fix needed
 

Hi everyone,

I have a carbon fiber center console that on some of the edges the carbon fiber has detached itself from the under lying console. Have any of you had this or similar issue and how did you fix it. I assume glue of some sort could be used to re-adhere the carbon fiber to the console but I'm not sure what the best product would be to accomplish this. Any suggestions on a good fix? I want to definitely address this before it get worse. Thanks.

Contact glue and a heat gun should do the job. If the panel is warped out, use the heatgun to warp it into the console.

I'll take a photo sometime tomorrow when there's light. Though where it's come lose is a bit awkward to take a photo of. I'll see what I can do.

As simple as that? I wouldn't call the panel warped but simply pulled away. I'll apply some heat to make it easier to work with before glueing and putting some clips on to hold in place while the glue cures. Thanks.

Same exact thing happened to me. The piece on the console by the handbrake started peeling off. I glued it, then put clamps on it and hit it with a heat gun to get rid of the warp.

glue and a heat gun can useful for this apply after watching tutorial in ytube.

No haven't tried it. Its expensive but if its 3m, its a good product.
I like weldwood, have used it for years.
