Headlight Removal

Quick question:

I need to remove my headlight but do not have the actual 986 headlight tool. Does any have a recommendation on what I could use in place of that? size, hex key, etc???? I need something that I can pick up at Lowes, Auto Zone, etc. Thanks!

Its a 4 or 5mm socket. Just put it on an extension and use a ratchet.

Yes, I heard the "click" and it's flush. I only worry a bit because the previous one flew out during hard braking and I definitely don't want that to happen again. Is there any recommendation for an additional step to secure it in the event that I slam on the brakes one day????

time to get creative....

If it's a real concern to you (as it should be after having happened once),
I'd open the wheel well liner and attach something to the back of the light from there...

I did that to connect my wire plug (since it's cracked and will not plug in on it's own.)

good luck.

The replacing of my burned out low beam bulb was ridiculous easy. I think it makes up for the process to change the engine air filter. Maybe not....
