Help me find my leak
I have a leak that is allowing water to get under the passenger seat (right side seat for RHD people). I thought it was from the convertible top foam tray, and maybe part of it was. I found a hole in the tray and patched it with a silicone patch and tested it by pouring water in the tray. The drain works fine, the patch doesn't seem to be leaking. There is not as much water getting is a last year (from other sources I've found), but this leak persists. Anyone have any ideas on how to find it?
Thanks for your help. Tony |
I found my leak. There seems to be a built in drip edge that the foam tray is supposed to be under. There was one spot in the front of the tray where it was over this drip edge, and therefore, not doing it's job. It took a long time to find, but about 30 seconds (and zero dollars) to fix. I now believe I have a leak free car.

Nice find. I'm glad you found the source of the leak. Now I can check my car. My seat belts seem to get damp if I leave the car out in the rain. Maybe this is the cause?
