Replacing a non lighted visor mirror

The flap that covers the passenger mirror fell into my lap the other day. A search on this BBS showed that a replacement mirror was available. Plus - it was available without the airbag warning sticker.

The part number for the new non lighted visor mirror - note this is for the mirror only:

Notice the tab - there are three others:

<a href="http://s266.photobucket.com/user/bfeller_photos/media/IMG_0854.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii241/bfeller_photos/IMG_0854.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0854.jpg"/></a>

Slide a screw driver under the visor and release the tab:

<a href="http://s266.photobucket.com/user/bfeller_photos/media/IMG_0857.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii241/bfeller_photos/IMG_0857.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0857.jpg"/></a>

Slide the old mirror out - wiggling the other three tabs out from under the visor:

<a href="http://s266.photobucket.com/user/bfeller_photos/media/IMG_0858.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii241/bfeller_photos/IMG_0858.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0858.jpg"/></a>

Viola - no mirror:

<a href="http://s266.photobucket.com/user/bfeller_photos/media/IMG_0859_1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii241/bfeller_photos/IMG_0859_1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0859_1.jpg"/></a>

Insert the new mirror - wiggling the tabs under the visor - use the screw driver if needed.

<a href="http://s266.photobucket.com/user/bfeller_photos/media/IMG_0860_1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii241/bfeller_photos/IMG_0860_1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0860_1.jpg"/></a>

You now have a working mirror cover.

Nice job, now if only my visor would stay up. I replaced the drivers side with a used one and the passenger side one is bad also. You would think on a $50, 000 + car they would have decent visors.
