$1.39 "Non-smoker" Cigarette Lighter Delete

OK, so nothing revolutionary here, but thought some might be interested.

Hillman 7/8" hole plugs are a perfect fit (Lowes, $1.39 pair). Its like they were made for it.
Now, I need to work out some type of handle to pull them out for the power port (I'm thinking a small screw in ball attachment).
Since I have my switch blank USB charging port, I really never use the power ports and don't like looking at the cigarette lighter or the empty and brightly lit socket.

A small thumb screw in black would work well, also.

Bored, bored, bored...

I found these little accent nuts (for light fixtures) in my junk drawer. They are a bit larger than I want and look ridiculous, so I'm going to pick up some small knurled thumb screws the next time I'm at the hardware store.
These will work for now.

Exactly, haha!

I have abandoned the whole knob idea and decided to go with just blank covers. I warmed up one edge of the lip of the plug and bent it outward ever so slightly so that you have something to pry on with the tip of your finger.
I never use them anyway, so they will rarely come out.

I like this look best.

Yeah those nips were really bad, no nip is a good thing when it comes to cars.

I like the clean look, especially with the blue light. But you could always go with the OEM non-smoker plug, PN: 996.652.103.00 A01

The thing that I don't like about the OEM non-smoker kit is the ugly "no smoking" sign. I went through hell and back to give up cigarettes over a decade ago and I don't want to look at one at all, especially in my car.
I know I'm weird

That is far less weird than your avatar. The OEM non-smoker plug one is kind of ugly.

Great find BTW! I've managed to misplaced my OEM cigarette plug so this will work nicely. I actually picked up a pack on my daily trip to Lowes/HD. I didn't put it in yet as it usually takes me two weeks to do anything....

AutoZone has a package of 3 (different colors) for $3 or $4. They have molded-in tab handles, so if you need to pull them for a USB charger, they're very easy to use.

I ordered one of these and it seems to be slightly too large. I can't get it to fit
