Oil filler tube

I'm replacing the oil filler tube that connects to the block and the section that connects to it. These are pieces I broke while replacing my starter. I did a forum search but didn't see too much on remove and install. Any assist would be appreciated. Is it easier with the throttle body removed? Thanks

the oil filler tube should be covered in the coolant tank replacement posts. it is a component of the coolant tank.

Are you talking about this piece

You can just remove the clamps and then pull it out. The clamp/end connecting to the reservoir tank would be the difficult part since you will have to remove the reservoir tank to get to it.

Yep that's it along with the pipe that connects to the block. According to Nick at Pelican Parts, I have to remove the alternator to replace that pipe. This supposedly two hour job to replace the starter is now going on its fourth week.

I got my starter done in two hours, but broke my j tube from the aos to the throttle body. It gets completed in two hours if you dont break a bunch of stuff. Part of the learning process dont beat yourself up.

People were posting about how they can probably swap out the coolant reservoir in half an hour. It took me 3 weeks. Pulled one part out and noticed another part broken or broke it myself and had to order and wait etc etc. It happens, no sweat.
