3M paint defender

has anyone ever used 3M paint defender? my Boxster already has the clear vinyl wrap but I thought of trying on my wife's Benz.

I would be interested too. I would like to put it around and behind my 981 air intakes.

I have used it on my Ducati. It is somewhat soft- at least softer than plastic film I have used in the past. It does help prevent scratches but can peel from the impact. Like when I swing my boot over the tail- it pulled up about a half inch of the film. (On a corner.)

So not a 100% solution but if you sprayed it on your bumper/hood/behind tires I think it would be great. Especially if you have a new car.

thanks,
maybe i'll practice on the pathfinder before attempting the Benz. I'm assuming it comes off without damage to the paint.

Getting it off after it has cured is a PITA.

After thinking about it a bit more- on my next new high dollar keeper car I would go for Clear Bra. Not the spray on.

You got to love it, Spray Application requires a preparation for the spray application. Nice job 3M, just put it all into one package and sell the damn thing.
