Speaker options...What do you think?

I have the 490 hi-fi option and am looking to use the following speakers. Let me know what you think: door subs Kicker CVT651 or Subs and amp Front speakers Polk Audio db401 Rear Speaker Polk Audio db351 Thanks in advance for the constructive comments. Tony |
I have the 401's in my dash and was very pleased with the improvement in sound. My original speakers were shot. I purchased the speakers from Crutchfield....think I paid about $40 with free shipping.

I just got the subs, and decided to go with this amp:
JVC Amp At $149.99, it was half the price that Crutchfield had it at. I hope it sounds as good as it looks. Tony |
FYI if you want more bottom the factory 987 footwell bose sub fits nicely In a 986. I have one running on a separate small amp. Sounds great. Like this.

Does it take up footwell space? what does it look like installed?

It just rests next the center console on the pass anger side. It takes up minimal space.

I'm going to try the kickers in the doors to see how that works.
