Has anyone installed a sport exhaust on a 2000 S
Hey I just installed a PSE off a 2001 on my 2000 S and was wanting to hook up the vacuum lines and are these wired to a switch or electronics? I've been trying to find some info but haven't had much luck

They are wired to a switch that goes into your center console or the "horseshoe" shaped plastic where the top switch is located.
They are operated by vacuum, the vacuum switch (added at the intake manifold) is identical to the one they use for the crossover pipe flapper control.

The vac unit is in the upper left hand corner of the pic. The only thing I didn't see was the "switch" that goes into the center console. You can use any switch you like, but the kits I've seen dealer installed utilized a factory rocker on/off switch. I have seen people hide the switch in their ash tray.. I have seen people hide the switch under the center armrest.. all up to you!

Tee off a vac line under the plenum.. add this vac solenoid, wire it to the relay, then to the switch. The vac solenoid needs vacuum, then from the remaining port, run it out to the actuators.
Trying to think of a Porsche shop in B-ham I can send you too. We raced at Barber for years in Grand Am, but I don't recall any local shops. We typically ended up at the dealer for parties and the such.

I have a 2001 S with a factory installed PSE. There is no switch to manually operate the selenoids.

I installed a PSE in my 986S 2000. As I am thoroughly disappointed in the quality and amount of noise it produces I see no need whatsoever to be able to restrict it...
If I would, I'd be looking at this kit from Carnewal - might be available from US sources too:
