Cheap OEM Big Brake Kit

I need more Braking force-must stop FASTER, brake later. I need to replace my fr pads and rotors and thought this was a good time to upgrade. Cayenne turbo brakes may be in my future but for now I was wondering if anyone has tried 996 TT rotors ( FR 330 34 )( RR 330 28 ) on the front of an Boxster S. I m thinking of using mintex stock-size fr pads. The stock rotor is 318 28. A bigger rotor would offer more leverage ( once I space out the calipers .25 inch) , more resistance to heat buildup and yes, more unsprung weight (unless I spring for alu hats) I like STANDING on them at high speeds .

Really big brakes make these cars go really slow, avoid them. Stopping distance is mostly a function of weight and tire grip so drop weight and mount stickier tires for shorter braking distances.

For brake heat management, improve cooling, run Motul 600 fluid, and use ST-43 pads for unrivaled performance. This should get you through a 24hrs of Daytona race.

And you will be changing the brake bias, front to rear which could have significant negative effects on you overall braking.

The stock brakes on these cars are fantastic, more than adequate for anything on the street.

+1 for both what topless and sanrensho say.

Even though the tt brakes would look very cool on a boxster!

what would look cool are 6- piston Cheyenne turbo calipers with 997 turbo drilled rotors (350 mm -34mm). Basically the same parts as a GT2!!!!!more swept area than a tornado:D All it takes is alittle adaptor piece and WAM! or you can get ( 355mm- 34mm ) rotors with an aluminum hats for $600 from a bus Radium King pointed out in another thread called , goingsuperfast.com. Brembo s big brake kits look astionishingly similar (pelican) but uses a different adapter that doesn t require the caliper to be machined...
