Front hood amblem installation ?

Hello all

I dont want to sound stupid, but I have a brand new Hood emblem and nuts from Porsche. I knew the nuts we're fill with some sort of past, but there is no thread on the pin of the emblem where the nuts should screw. Wil the nuts make there own thread and hold the emblem, or should a try to make some king of thread before screwing the nuts?

Thanks all
Chris

The speed nuts cut their own threads as you tighten them. Very gently, though! Only need a very light touch.

If you're installing a new rubber backing plate as well, try soaking it in hot water for a few minutes first.
