4 Attachment(s)
Finally finished with the brakes.
I was starting to get 'behind the wheel withdrawals..'
2 new rear tires.
All 4 Zimmerman Z coated Rotor and painted calipers..
The calipers turned out excellent.. Spent a lot of time prepping them for paint...
Break-In:
Finished step 2 of the brake pad and rotor bed-in procedure..
Let them cool and took her for a cruise up the coast...
Sure feels good to have the car back on all 4's...:)

The calipers look pristine, how did you do them? Nice and bright, what color did you use, where'd you get it? How many coats, how many clear?

Looks really nice! Hurry up break in period! YeeeHaa!

Homeboy981:
I used Dupli-Color Caliper Paint Kit (ceramic) - Red Caliper Paint. (AutoZone) $20 bucks

Withstands temperatures up to 500 F intermittent, and brake dust resistant.. (what the box states)

It's brush on, when I put the first coat on I was wishing I had purchased the spray can paint instead..
This stuff dries fast, you have less than 5 minutes to put a second coat on, after that the next coat starts eating through the first coat.
I didn't use the cheap brush in the kit, used a 1 inch camel hair brush instead.
It is a nice bright red, the next day they looked awesome..

After putting the stickers on, I used clear coat just over the stickers.

I spent a lot of time with a wire wheel on a drill cleaning the calipers.
Also a lot of brake parts cleaner, the kit includes a spray can of caliper cleaner prior to painting. (I think it also brake parts cleaner)

If there is any brake dust, the paint will smear with the brush on the first coat.
I'm really please with the way they turned out..

NICE! Did you chrome your wheels? They look great. What bedding technique did you use for the pads and rotors?
