What is a reasonable cost for having a hardtop painted? I've been shopping around to get a hardtop painted. So to properly frame the conversation, it's important to mention condition: hardtop in good condition, no dings, few scratches, wrong color, needs sanded, primed, painted, clear coat, buffed. I am located in the midwest (Columbus OH). I went to 3 shops and got 3 estimates that very far apart. $900, $2,000, and $600. I was told by some in the forum that it should cost around $300. So, for those of you have done this before, what did it cost you? How was the outcome? Thank you. |

Ouch! Mine was red when I bought it. Had no blemishes at all. Cost me 400 to repaint it black. Came out great. I think 4-6 is fair. |

Job completed at $680. It's about $300 more than I thought it would cost. Thank you all for your insight. Btw, it came out great! |

Who did you use in Columbus? I'm in Cincy and might need a good recommendation sometime...thanks! |
